Overall Layout

This is the latest result of the excavation (1998-1999). Cylindrical Haniwas were found on the excavation pit E'-3 on the west and B'-3 on the east. Haniwas on the west lie standing in line and lean outwardly. Estimated diameter of the Kofun is around 20 to 25 meters.

Interpretation of the moat layout and the Haniwa arrangements is still at issue.
