Thank you very much for reading this,

I am writing this letter regarding possible career opportunity at your architecture studio.

I believe that I could be the highly motivated, hard working individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to assist anyone in the office who needs an extra hand.

I had received my bachelor degree in architecture at University of Southern California, along with a minor degree in business administration.

After the graduation in 1998, with an enormous amount of interest in Japanese architecture and design, I came to Tokyo to further pursuit my passions in architecture.

In order for my to understand Japanese architecture better, I chose to study Japanese language and computer graphic on the side during my first year in Japan. Although my Japanese ability is not quite native, I feel that I am able handle daily conversation. Furthermore, I shall continue to polish my Japanese ability toward perfection.

During the 5 years at USC School of Architecture, my projects included libraries, museums, shopping centers, multi-function living/working space, housing, renovations, reconstruction, and remodeling. I am familiar with most of architecture related software as well as hardware, modeling skills with metal, wood, plastic, paper boards, foam cords also included.
After years of training from school, I am very excited about this first step toward building a solid career and willing to be at your assistant any way I can.

Included is my brief information. Please go over it and feel free to ask for more information or questions. If you are interested, I would be more than glad to send you my complete resume, in English and Japanese. I look forward to the meeting with you in the near future. Thank you very much for your time.

Yours truly,

William W.L. Lin
