FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE をインストールする

[Yes]自分のユーザーだけでも登録しましょう。ユーザー名yuzo、グループ名yuzoでつくりました。
グループ名は勝手に作られるようです。ま、あとでvipwでいろいろ変えてもいいしかるーくね。

Now you must set the system manager's password.This is the password you'll use to log in as "root".
[OK] rootのパスワード設定。


 

Visit the general configuration menu for a chance to set any last options?
[Yes]で全て終了しましょう。

これでインストールは完了です。お疲れ様でした。
 

■ 簡単ネットワーク設定
ここまでのインストールだけでインターネットに繋がりますが、一応確認です。

[1]問い合わせ順番指定。( /etc/host.conf )

hosts
bind
[2]DNSの問い合わせ先を指定。( /etc/resolv.conf )
domain  home.or.jp
nameserver  192.168.0.1
[3]ホストアドレス一覧。( /etc/hosts )
127.0.0.1     localhost.home.or.jp  localhost
192.168.0.11  clio.home.or.jp  clio
192.168.0.11  clio.home.or.jp.
ホスト名解決できない場合は、問い合わせ先のネームサーバーのアドレスにＩＳＰに指定されているアドレスを追加してみてください。たとえばこんな感じ。
domain  home.or.jp
nameserver  192.168.0.1
nameserver  www.xxx.yyy.zzz
これで救われるかも・・・
